Anses-ANMV and ENSV-FVI Lyon - Self-vaccin training module

Anses-ANMV and ENSV Lyon have developed an online training module aimed at acquiring knowledge and skills in risk analysis and regulation of inactivated bacterial autogenous vaccines. The use of autogenous vaccines is an alternative to the use of antibiotics. This training is therefore part of the fight against Antiobioresistance following the recommendations of the OIE at the 2nd World Conference on Combating Antimicrobial Resistance and the prudent use of antimicrobial agents in Marrakech in 2018 (PDF). This training is intended for experts from international veterinary services involved in the regulation, evaluation or control of autogenous vaccines. Anses-ANMV and ENSV are OIE collaborating centres: on veterinary medicinal products for Anses-ANMV and for the training of official veterinarians for ENSV.

This module consists of theoretical presentations recorded by experts from the Anses-ANMV on French regulations and good practices for preparing autogenous vaccines. It also contains videos shot in a veterinary analysis laboratory and in an autogenous vaccines manufacturing facility. Field veterinarians and the SIMV president were also interviewed for this module. This module was launched on Tuesday 16 November 2021 and is expected to be renewed annually.
