The Appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal celebrates its first year

ANSES is joining the other founding members of the Appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal in marking its first anniversary. The portal was created to increase the visibility of project-based research funding opportunities, and centralises all the calls for projects from the major research funding players in France. Besides ANSES, the co-founders of the portal are ADEME, ANR, INCa and Inserm/ANRS-MIE.

Since its creation a year ago, more than 160 calls for projects have been published on the appelsprojetsrecherche.fr portal, including ANSES's two annual calls for projects under the National Research Programme for Environmental and Occupational Health.

This portal is constantly expanding the publication of calls for research projects by bringing in new partners. Today, its associated partners include government services (France Stratégie), public (Health Data Hub) or scientific interest groups (FC3R), foundations (Maison des Sciences de l'Homme Paris Nord) and local authorities (Pays du Mont-Blanc district council).

Presenting the diversity and abundance of project-based research funding opportunities

The publication of calls for projects provides not only better visibility for the portal's partners, but also simplified access to funding opportunities for research communities. Some of the partners are already seeing more numerous applications from a greater variety of disciplines.

This broadening of the visibility of project-based research funding opportunities thus helps improve equal access between research communities.

In the past year, more than 40,000 searches have been carried out and nearly 700 alerts created, enabling scientists to be notified of new calls meeting their criteria.

The major project to develop the portal will continue in the coming months with the extension of the funding opportunities through the integration of new partners and the gradual introduction of new features designed to simplify the research communities' procedures.
