Dynamyc Mycology (DYNAMYC) USC

Head of Unit: Françoise Botterel

The Dynamyc Unit has been under contract (USC) with the University of Paris-Est Créteil Val de Marne since 2018. Its objective is to develop innovative cross-cutting research leading to a better knowledge of the nature and evolution of the fungal flora in contact with the respiratory epithelium in humans and animals, as well as a better understanding of the emergence of resistance of Aspergillus fumigatus to azole antifungals.

Dynamyc provides a continuum from preclinical and clinical research through to basic research, with a wide range of models and expertise in mycology and, more recently, in bacteriology. The unit has a unique structure offering optimal conditions for conducting ambitious inter- and transdisciplinary research programmes involving scientists, physicians and veterinarians.

The unit is located within the Faculty of Health of the University of Paris-Est Créteil and benefits from access to the Biomedical Research Centre (CMRB) of the Alfort National Veterinary School (ENVA), as well as the high-throughput sequencing (NGS) platform at the Mondor Institute for Biomedical Research (IMRB).
